Long Way Round

We have started watching this documentary about Ewen McGregor and his friend going around the world on their motorcycles. Apparently it was shown in episodes on TV at some point. We rented it from Netflix. We are only two episodes into it and I am hooked, and I think that the crush I am developing on Ewen McGregor is only part of the reason.

It has me thinking about risky decisions, about passions, about the balance between purely personal pursuits and serving, being with family - how these intersect.

Giving myself hours to write, next month, is my motorcycle trip. What's yours?

Are you sure we two red-heads are not related? We seem to be living parallel lives.

I too am allowing myself time to write and also reading a book called, Your Right to Write by Julia Cameron. It is great and helps you to do just that - claim your RIGHT to write.

My post for tomorrow hits on this subject exactly. Now, I'm going to my Netflix Queue and adding this documentary because I too have a crush on Ewan McGregor!

I'm sending you good writing vibes!

I happily claim you as a long lost sister. I will look for that book. I have been reviewing all of my writing books, including her "The Artist's Way" book. I love Natalie Goldberg's books and have ordered "Bird by Bird" by Annie Lamott. It is supposed to be a birthday present for yet another red-headed writer but I may get her something better, like chocolate - equally important for the writing process. Angie, want to join me in my novel writing challenge next month and write 50,000 words in June, supporting one another? Come on, you're crazy enough to join a fellow red head. Please?

I adore Ewan McGregor and now must find this documentary you mentioned!

My motorcycle trip? Gosh, I really don't know. Starting a photography business I suppose. It's scary and risky!

Mine includes less electronics and more walking and yoga. So what did I do yesterday? Bought a new internet thing from Verizon so I will never be w/o again...Oh well, the daily walking is going good :)
