My friend Helen passed this one along. Since I had fulfilled my 1660 word count for the day this was a fun change of pace the first day of the writing challenge. It was excruciating finishing my word count last night. I was using chocolate not as a reward at the end of sections but rather as a way to keep me awake. I get to start earlier today so it shouldn't be so challenging. My pink crown, green plastic bracelet and blaring writing soundtrack will keep it fun.

If you do this meme (anyone know what meme means?), please post about it so that I can see your results.

This looks so fun. Hopefully I'll have time to give it a try and that it isn't too difficult for my computer skills!

Love yours. Thanks for sharing.

Gwyneth's was pretty cool. I did a similar one a while ago using Photobucket. Glad that your word count is going well. I got that shortcake recipe posted today...and now I need to think about what other kind of trouble I can get into with the girlies gone :-)

Oh, Madeline, for a techie geek, I am such a dork. I just cannot figure out how to get somebody else's photos into the mosaic.

Yours is quite beautiful and you made it bigger!

Alecto, I would love to see yours. When you have picked a picture from the first page of pictures that come up (once you've entered your word in flickr's search) you then click on that individual picture. Copy the address of that page and then paste it into the mosaic maker that some guy named fd made (look for fd's tools on the flickr site). You have to do that for each picture.

I hope you haven't given up. I am not very talented at explaining succinctly.

I got a bigger copy of the mosaic by dragging it to my desktop and then uploading it into Blogger (thanks Gwyneth).

It worked! I have a mosaic in jpg form and will publish the post most likely tomorrow.

meme - a cultural item that is transmitted by repetition in a manner analogous to the biological transmission of genes.

Random House. The Hamster Dance was referenced somewhere as a primary example which just cracks me up. I can still hear the music.

1660 words! boo-ya. go, maddie, go.

I'm up to 6,972 words as of two minutes ago. I am posting about you later, Bhu, stay tuned!

Alecto, that is so cool about the meme meaning. I had to google "The Hamster Dance". Clearly I was deprived somewhere along the line of the dance that went with that catchy tune. I do remember the song though. I guess I need more memes to stay culturally aware. I'm looking forward to seeing your's!

This is such a fun meme, I've just become aware of it and seeing it around. Your mosaic turned out so beautiful. I'm thinking of putting one together myself - maybe over the weekend. It's always fun to learn more about you. I love the word to describe you and I would turn it back around and call you "always interesting"!

Cami, I hope that you do it. I'd love to see yours.
