Here now is the original "Survivor Man" of our family. When we viewed the whole "episode" that he did, I was impressed by Gillen's knowledge of rare plants and creatures, by his fire-making skills and by how well he recreated the Canadian survivor man. But it wasn't hard to choose which clip to share here. If ever stranded for days at our farm, Gillen will survive.

SO sweet! Thanks for sharing Gillen's time in the *lush vegetation*...it was a joy to hear his voice and see his sweet face...and spend those few minutes with him!
Awesome footage! We live in the suburbs, but plant and animal identification are an integral part of our homeschooling experience. I think my girls would be okay if stranded in the wilderness ... well, once they kicked the TV/computer withdrawals :).
I love that kid!!! He's not only a natural at the survival game, but he rocks on camera!!!
BTW, may I put a link to your blog on my page?
Can't wait to see you guys!
Mindy
LOL, That's awesome! Kyra and I are sitting here watching, you da man Gillen!!
He has such a presence in the film. That's awesome!
Love both of them. Gillen getting a leg stuck in his throat was priceless. Great entertainment, just like the Survivor Man on TV. I laughed out loud and then showed it to my husband. He at that cricket without hesitation. What a fun experience for your kids.
How cool! :)
Gillen stick to home cooked meals. Looks great Damien
